RCSD Educators Are Split On Reopening, But Share Some Common Values and Concerns, RORE Survey Shows



(WXIR-Rochester) As summer stretches on, the question of whether--and how--to reopen schools safely this fall looms larger.


The Rochester Organization of Rank and File Educators (RORE) recently launched a survey polling Rochester City School District union members on a range of issues, from how they and their students are coping with the pandemic, to their thoughts on reopening and their support for several "common good" demands.

Preliminary survey results show that respondents are split on the issue of reopening. But as RORE member Claire Labrosa explains, the survey also shows respondents share some common concerns and values.
