Report Finds US Gov't Has Spent $1B on Charter Schools that Either Closed or Never Opened

(WXIR-Rochester) A new report finds that the federal government's Charter Schools Program (CSP) has spent a billion dollars over the last decade on schools that have either closed down or that never opened in the first place.

Those schools account for about 37% of those to receive funding from the CSP, according to analysis from the Network for Public Education.
